CLOUD & TIFA: RELATIONSHIP

Cloud and Tifa share a special relationship. They've both made it obvious that they care deeply for each other even when they were little. Yes, I can actually tell you a few quotes on where they give you hints on how they feel and I personally think that they are in love with each other.

If you read the dialogue and completed the whole game you can actually see that Cloud does care a ton about Tifa. Like in this quote he states, "No matter what anyone else says to me, it's your attitude that counts..."- Cloud to Tifa, (disc 2). You can also tell that he wants to tell so much unspoken words to Tifa because he states this here as well, "Hey Tifa... I... There were so many things I wanted to say to you."- Cloud to Tifa (disc 3). But in this quote here he states that nothing has changed, "But now that we're together like this, I don't know what to say..." "I guess nothing's changed at all... Funny, isn't it?"- Cloud to Tifa (disc 3). What is the point you ask? Well the point is that when he said, "I guess nothing's changed at all...", that quote meant that he cared about Tifa even back when they were just kids. Cloud always wanted Tifa to notice him.

He says this here in the Lifestream:
Cloud- "...I was devastated ...I wanted to be noticed."
"I thought if I got stronger someone would notice."

Tifa- "Someone to notice you? ...Who?"

Cloud- "Who? You know who! ...You, that's who."
"You..."

That is also the reason why he joined soldier and didn't show his face at Nibleheim because he failed to make it in soldier.

He says this here in the Lifestream:
Cloud- "Yeah... this is... me."
"I... never made it as a member of SOLDIER."
"I even left my hometown telling everyone I was going to join, but..."
"I was so embarrassed... I didn't want to see anybody..."

So as you can see Cloud cares about Tifa even back then and even now.

If you read the dialogue in the game you should also know that Tifa cares a ton about Cloud. There are tons of quotes and actions that Tifa did to show how much she cares about Cloud. But I am just going to hit the big ones. Well as you know Cloud and Tifa were not close when they were kids. But when Tifa's mother died that was the day Cloud followed Tifa out to the bridge that lead to the reactor in Nibleheim. Tifa was the one who wanted to go not Cloud, but like I said before Cloud followed her. When they went on the bridge, as all of you should know, it broke and the two fell. Cloud just scarred his knee but Tifa went into a coma. Cloud took all of the blame that day for Tifa. Who would take the blame for something that wasn't their fault but someone else's fault? Well that answer is Cloud and he did it because he cares for Tifa. Moving on to the day they went to the well and made their promise. When Cloud left Tifa noticed that she was falling in love with him because she always kept thinking about him.

Tifa says this here in the Lifestream:
Tifa- "After you left town, I really thought about you a lot."
"I used to wonder how Cloud was doing."
"I wondered if you were able to get into SOLDIER?"
"I started reading the newspapers, thinking I might see an article about you."

Another key scene was when Tifa stayed by Cloud's side when they found him at mideel. None of the others volunteered to do what she did for Cloud they didn't even volunteer to at least help her out. I think all of the others didn't volunteer to help her because they know that she loves Cloud and all she really needs and cares about is Cloud. The last big Cloti scene I think is also a key to their relationship is the scene where Cloud and Tifa were left together until the others came back from their trip to see why they are fighting for the planet. One of the things Tifa says to Cloud is this, "As long as we're together. With you by my side, I'll never give up no matter how bad it gets.". This quote means that Cloud is the most important reason why she is fighting to save the planet. It can also kind of say that she gets her strength and courage from Cloud. But as you can see from all of the quotes and actions from Tifa you can obviously tell that she is in love with Cloud.
