CLOUD & TIFA: CLOTI

It is obvious that I am for Cloud and Tifa and against Aeris and Cloud or any other Cloud or Tifa coupling. Why? Well the first fact for the other major opinion is that Aeris is dead. I am sorry I had to say that straight out, but she is. Aeris cannot rise from the dead and if Square Enix did make her alive again I think it would mess up the whole story. Aeris, to me, I think is best dead to watch over Cloud and Tifa. But not just Cloud and Tifa she could watch over the planet she risked and gave her life to save. I also believe that she is with Zack, the one who I think she really loves.

Cloud and Tifa in the other hand are still alive. Yes, Yuffie is still alive and kicking, for people who are a fan of Cloud and Yuffie, but Yuffie is just too young. Yuffie, to me, could be like Cloud's younger sister or maybe even Tifa's. The reason why I say this is the way she acts towards them. All Yuffie cares about is Materia really and she fights with Cloud as if they were related in some way. People who have younger or older siblings probably share the same thought as me and I think it is quite natural really. Now everyone knows Cloud can be paired up with Barret as well. Okay people lets be realistic, why the heck would you want that to happen. I for one am not a fan of same sex couples. I think it is really disgusting, but yet I still respect other people who are like that or are a fan of that type of pairing. Sorry, but that type of couple never crosses my mind as a possibility. I know there are fans of Barret and Tifa, but to me that is also like a brother and sister relationship. To me Barret and Tifa show the bond and trust as of brother and sister. Now Red XIII is an intelligent animal, but everyone know that it would never work out with him and Tifa. Cid is just too old and I believe is married, correct me if I'm wrong. Yes, Vincent is a possibility for Tifa, but Vincent I think best would help Tifa and Cloud with their relationship. He had his heart broken and I believe he knows the way love is and how cold hearted it could be. I think Vincent is rather better off giving advice to the two not pairing up with Tifa.

This just leaves Aeris, right? Well like I said before Aeris is dead and if Aeris really cared about Cloud, I think, then she would want him to be happy. Not mourning over her death and I believe Aeris would like Tifa and the others to do the same. Yes, they could regret and maybe they could've done something. But the fact is that there was possibly nothing that could've been done. Even if anyone knew that Sephiroth was about to kill Aeris, making Cloud or another character save her life by pushing her away and most likely getting themselves killed wouldn't be a solution either. Yes, it would've kept her alive, but do you think that Cloud, Tifa, and the others wouldn't do the same if another character died as they are doing to Aeris?

With this I also think that Aeris never really loved Cloud as she did for Zack. I can't say if someone loves someone or not, but she never really said anything that made her say she did. I also believe she never really actually showed actions of love towards Cloud. Unlike Tifa who was always by his side even when the mako got the best of him and not to mention the way she stuck with him and helped him pull himself together in the Lifestream. To me that showed that Tifa loved Cloud. I could say Aeris cared, but love is not the word. Aeris died before she could say if she really loved him or nonetheless do really anything that show a commitment of love towards Cloud. She did say she wanted to know him, but did she know him well enough when she died to love him? I think the answer to that is no. Love takes time and Cloud and Tifa already had this time even if they weren't close childhood friends. Getting back to Aeris wanting to know Cloud I believe she thought Cloud as her boyfriend Zack. Since Cloud had Mako poisoning that did make Cloud take over all of Zack's characteristics. But there was Tifa who always knew the truth about Cloud. I think Aeris found out that Cloud wasn't Zack when she said she wanted to know him. So that showed that Aeris didn't know Cloud and only Tifa knew the real him. Aeris only knew him after the Mako poisoning, not before, or who he really was in the end. Leaving only Tifa knowing why she loved him and I believe that is true love.

Love isn't always so perfect and Cloud and Tifa may in the future have big arguments and disagree about things. But isn't that the way lovers act? How loved is shown in some princess story making the couple look like they get along so well that there will be no problems is just a lie. Loving someone has its obstacles; it's ups and downs. If Cloud and Tifa are to make it they have to face these obstacles. Yes, there will be challenges and dreadful times because let's face it is life and life is what FFVII is all about. And I think Square Enix did this to show how love is in life and life itself. This now leads me to the end where it seemed as if it was Aeris' hand reaching down to Cloud and her theme song was playing, but it turned out to be Tifa's and then her theme song started to play. To me I think Aeris was telling Cloud not only to move on, but also to take Tifa's hand and guide her through the stormy nights and mountains of true love.
